Wat Traimit ( Traimit Temple ) has an official name as Wat Traimit Witthayaram Wora Wiharn. The previous name of Wat Traimit is Wat Sam Jeen Tai. The temple is located on Charoenkrung Road, very near to the junction between Charoenkrung Road and Yaowarat Road where it leads to Chinatown.
Wat Traimit is a temple where local Thai & Chinese come to worship Phra Buddha Maha Suwanna Patimakorn ( the world's biggest golden buddha, recorded by guinness book ) and Heng Jia ( monkey god ). All tourists are very welcome to visit the temple.
Besides, you won’t be disappointed to visit Yaowarat Chinatown Heritage Center on the 2nd floor of the main building inside the temple. The center presents Chinese Life Journeys in Chinatown through the historical stories. Don’t miss out!
